I don't know why I feel weird being intimate in public; I guess I just feel like it's more of a private thing to do and we shouldn't have to proclaim our feelings to the world like that. It's not like he's being overly touchy; I can't even hold hands with him when we're with family! How do I get over this? He thinks I'm ashamed of him and I know it hurts him (I'm most definitely NOT ashamed of him) Reply to this Question Share |

He thinks he should show everyone that you are his girlfriend.Maybe you are just overly sensitive or public display of emotions is not appreciated in your family. If you really think it's more of a private thing to do, then make it private only. You should have a talk with your boyfriend, tell him exactly how you feel about it.
