And I was wondering if anyone went through the same period? If it is just an age thing? Or what I could do?

I think everyone goes through feeling like that. Even when you get older, it happens from time to time, that you feel somewhat disconnected in all that's going on around you. Just take the opportunity to look around, note the positive lights in your life, count your blessings and then re-enter the world of social interaction.
You'll be fine, I promise. You've just come to notice that just because you are around people doesn't mean you feel connected to them all the time. It's okay to feel that way.
If you start to feel really isolated or paralyzed in the interactions, then tell someone, your Mom or Dad or another trusted adult, okay?
Good luck, and happy new year!
