Every conversation we have is rather forced and they call say I belittle them by using 'big words that I know they won't understand'. They prefer to sit and relax during free periods in school but I do my work and sometimes I feel so left out because they all talk about the concerts they want to go see (One Direction/ Justin Bieber) while I'd rather stare at a wall for three hours than see those people! What should I do? I love my friends dearly but at this rate I'm going to loose them?

People rarely keep the same friends for life. There may be one or two who we always have a connection with but it's common to grow apart from school friends.
If you're 16 I'm guessing you'll be off to college soon? You'll meet plenty of new friends there who share your interests.

You're growing up, your tastes are changing, it happens. Like IAmHereToHelpYou said, try and find some common ground with them. At the same time, expand your horizons, and go o out and meet new people. Make friends with those you have more in common with. It isn't unusual, as we get older, for people we once considered to be beast friends, to become more like acquaintances. As people grow up, and as their likes, dislikes and activities change, they grow apart.
