 First off you should be wearing a condom anyways. I assume you're not ready to be a dad or to have a horrible disease that makes you infertile?
Second off, why would you think her ex is better? He's her ex, there's a reason for that. The idea of premature ejaculation has always been strange to me. Most women don't orgasm from penetrative sex, so lasting longer wouldn't seem to be that much better unless you're talking about tongue stamina. Furthermore, everyone seems to think they don't last long enough. So either this is a "problem" with over 90% of the male population, or it's normal to not last that long. If you really want to please her, work on your tongue and finger skills. That's how the vast majority of women orgasm, not from penetration.
Also, at your age, it's both normal and expected to not have gained zen like control of your orgasms. You're young, it will be much easier once you're older.

Why would you feel like you not as good as her ex? After all he is her EX. No matter how good someone says their ex is good in bed it only applies to that person in question. Someone else with the same fella or woman might say they are crap. I remeber an ex of mine telling a friend that I was rubbish in bed; I said I have to be turned on to be good. Even if ejaculate too soon the first time surly you last longer the second time, then longer again the third.

My ex had problems with "timing" shall we say but the thing is, sex wasn't about that with us, it was how we bonded and showed affection for each other. I think you shouldn't worry about it, just enjoy the love and affection that you can obtain through sex.Besides, there are other ways of satisfying her, the Internet is a useful tool if you're curious.

If a condom helps you last longer, which pleases her, don't worry about it. And forget about this guy, if you live in fear of his shadow she will notice. Clearly for her its not about him anymore, its about YOU. Wearing a condom should be always, no matter how long it takes you to ejaculate. I hope you feel better and build up your own confidence.
