A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

What if ive been dating a guy for 3 months now, tho it doesnt feel like he wants to get exclusive...About 2 weeks ago he said he loved me for the first time...He says it all the time now. I feel like he really means it...So, I took it that we were in a relationship. Right? Since i figured nobody would just say that... Except he still treats me like we are on our 1st date. We dont even hold hands in public. :/ And when people say "i assume this is your girlfriend?" his answer is "ummm yea!" ((( ITs alway amazing though when we r together in private. Hes very effectionate and very loving.... What do i do? Its been 3 months.... Is this about time where its either "do" or "don't". I dont like games... But idk if its too soon to pressure him. But then what the hell is the "i love you" part for. I bi*@ed at him bout it. And he said he felt it was time since its been 3 months... I "tried" finishing(ripping off the band aid) with him cuz it would get on my nerves, he would say "its too hard to walk away from somebody you love" And i have feelings for him too .... Wth do i do? I dont want to leave him....And he says he loves me too... :/ Omg...

His actions show that he has different goals in this relationship than you. You need to walk away so you can have the opportunity to find someone who wants what you want and he has the opportunity to find someone who wants what he wants. It will not be fun at first, but the sooner you let go of the sooner you can find the one for you. Best of Luck.
