Of course, message her, keep getting to know her and letting her know you. You can keep it going, even though it's long- distance... letters, phonecalls, videochat, social networking sites, message- based sites of common interest, occasional visits... you're both nearing adulthood and if it really works out, likely will be able to live near to each other soon.
