I feel as though he resents me over uneven income.

A female United States age , anonymous writes:

Is there a solution to uneven finances? I am thinking that men have a harder time jobless and at a lower level income ( unemployment income)

for the most part. Any ideas? I sense my boyfriend (well we are separated over this) harbors quite a lot of resentment and even anger towards me. When we lived together, he had a job and drove a very nice brand new car ( actually the car was mine and in my name... bought on my own credit history ) but he made payments on it while he was employed. As soon as he found out he had lost his job, things started spiraling downward for him emotionally and psycologicaly. He no longer lives with me, though we have been trying to make the relationship work over the past few months. Needless to say, I have my car back, though I let him use it when he needs to. I feel that the disparity of living income and situation is ruining our relationship for good. Any ideas out there?
