A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Okay, this should be a tad confusing but stick with me as it will play out in the end.

I started dating this guy about two months ago. I started hanging out with him and his other friends. Don't think horribly about me but I started liking one of the guys. Once I figured this out, I started trying to distant myself from him so nothing would come from it. But every time he would just show up. He made little hints that he at least cared for me. He talks out my problems with me and all that good stuff. I posted my number and he automatically sent me a text and then when I didn't reply, he made it seem like he was looking for my boyfriend. Well He started finding ways to text me and it's the most random things he texts me about. One night we all hung out and I was about to leave and I heard him mumble 'Please don't go' but brushed it off as him just being cute. My boyfriend started pushing him away and asked us not to communicate anymore but he won't give me a straight reason why.

I found myself sitting in a parking lot the other night and the next thing, he rolls up and pulls beside me. We end up talking for about three hours about everything possible. That was our first time hanging out alone. Again, the texting was constant for a week after and then he calls and asks me to hang out again. I go and he seems extremely shy. He is very aware of himself when we are walking, like he wants to respect my personal space. That night me and my boyfriend got into a fight and I told him I was about to go handle things with him. He says 'Let me know where yall stand so I don't say something stupid'. That raised a red flag to me. Almost like clockwork, an hour later he is questioning things that happened with the 'fight.' We obviously talked things out and I told the guy this and then preceded to ask him if he had any feelings other than friendship towards me and he said, and I quote, 'No, not really...I don't want a relationship right now.'

I want to make sure I'm not being insane with this, but does it seem like he likes me? I've been trying to flirt with him to get it out of him but he just flirts a tad and then ignores me.

I have, in the last two days ended it with my boyfriend because it wasn't fair, me having feelings for someone else.

Please help me if possible.

How do I break him out of this shell if he does like me?

YOu have your answer alredy, He said he is not interested. I doubt he is going to hurt his friend, I suggest you end things with you boyfriend as you don't really like him and move on. Its possible that he may have thought something could have hapoend at first but by telling oyu that he dosnt like you and is not interested in a relationship with you ..... its clear he is just not that into you,

As a male I can tell you, If he was by now you would have known about it
