I'm at university just starting my degree and he's at home trying to find a job which is a dissapointment but the reason i don't want to see him anymore. i just feel i want to see other people, have fun and just do me!!! The thing is hes really clingy, and attacted to me and for me to say that i don't want to see him i just don't know how he'll take it (not being cocky). I do still love and care for him but just as a close friend, has anyone got any ideas on how i could tell him, phone, text, in person? help please!!

I think you need to just call him and tell him the truth.
Tell him that your feelings have faded and you think you want to be single.
He'll cry and beg and then hate you for a bit but unfortunately that it what happens when you dump someone, it's not nice.
Be nice to him and give him honest reasons, don't fob him off with "it's not you, it's me." Tell him that you just don't like him like that any more.
It won't be fun but it has to be done some times.
Good Luck!! xx
