writes:So, im dating this guy. I really like him and he says he really likes me too. and weve only dated for a week adn we already hug and junk. which might not sound fast but is for me. But see i dated his bestfriend for 3 weeks before school ended, and i never really liked him. And this guy(my boyfriend) has like pretended to like girls then embaress them in front of everyone for revenge, and so i don tknow if he really likes me or not and i dont want to get hurt so i dont know what to do. please help me.

reader, anonymous, writes (9 September 2010): My advice? Keep your guard up and stay two steps behind. Don't get too attached until you're absolutely sure his motives are good. If he can't get you stuck on him and his motives are impure, he will fail and will probably give up.
If he proves to truly like you, then it will prove itself in time.

You're right. You don't want to get involved in petty junk. Don't worry about making the wrong decision. Just tell the guy that you'd rather be just friends with him for awhile, and tell him why you feel that way.
