writes:hi there. i have a girlfriend, whom i've been dating for 7 months. just recently we had both, quit drinking for two months and it was wonderful. last night she had decided to drink seven beers, and now im afraid that all the raging alcoholism is going to come back to haunt me...i really want to ask her if she could just put the alcohol down to rest for good, but i know its something she likes to do and i dont want her to have to decide between me and the alcohol...yes, we have had some problems with drinking in the past, which is why we took a big step to stop. i really dont know what to do in this situation. i dont want my relationship to be ruined over alcohol, and im not sure if she would stop drinking for me...  If she likes alchohol over you then she isn't worth your time, you tried very hard for her to stop and yet she didn't stop for you. i think you are in love with a person who loves alchohol more than humans to be honest

Alcohol is their best friend & saviour.
Dont let her drag you down too.
Suggest she goes to AA.

reader, anonymous, writes (16 August 2007): If she likes alcohol more than you, she's a loser. Why would you want to be with an alcoholic?? Tell her to quit, and if she won't, tell her you're gone. This question was already asked today, but I assume you want more answers. It may take a while for people to answer.
