heya. I'm 14 and i dont know what to do. A few years ago me and my mate started kissing round at her house. We did it regularly when I went to her house. We were 12. Now we go to the same school and are not mates anymore (just grown apart really) but im really worried cos we are in the same group of friends and i dont want any of them to find out about what me and my mate did! I regret it so much! I am not a lesbian so why did we do it? I dont want my ex-mate to tell our mates! I am so worried! What shall i do?

A female reader, matron +, writes (25 June 2006):

matron agony auntI did exactly the same thing, i think a lot of girls do but its only a few who admit it. It's all a part of growing up, discovering our bodies and feelings.

She is probably thinking the same as you otherwise she would have mentioned it by now. When you can, get her alone and jokingly say something like 'oh my god do you remember the things we got up to as kids, how embarrassed do i feel now i'm all grown up' and try to laugh it off, end by saying 'i wont tell if you dont'. I'm sure she will be as relieved as you once it's been said, then you can both forget about it. Good luck and stop worrying x

David Lewis agony auntDon't worry about it.

I am sure this girl is just as worried as you are about it.

As the others have said, this is perfectly normal and I am sure most of us have done it.

Many would say they haven't, but chances are, they have.

Don't let it worry you.

Wendyg agony auntWhy be emabarrased, its pretty normal to expirment when your young, i know i did! probably still am exprimenting ;o)

Most girls try it, some like it as you did, others dont! It takes two to kiss! So if she does tell its more likely she will get laughed at two, but then she may have liked it more than you anyway. Why worry over something that hasnt yet happend, if it does cross it then, but well like i say most young girls will have at least tried it, us girls are pretty clingy when we are younger, its all about discovering who we are, and what we like and dislike.
