writes: I have three questions in one...Well first off I never really thought of this being bad until I ran across a doctor video and someone came in with a problem I have...and after spending time with my boyfriend it does seem to be bothersome.I have noticed that one of my Labia Minora is extremely bigger than the other one and it folds up and just gets in the way. I use to think it was normal until recently when I watched that video and hers was the same why and she got it surgically removed. Well my boyfriend and I were fooling around the other night and it seemed to get in the way a lot. He had a hard time finding my Clitoris which really dampened the effect. So I was wondering what your thoughts where about this, should I do what the lady on the video did and get it removed? Also my second question is; I don't think I have ever had a full orgasm. I fill something building up, my breathing is in gasps, and my muscles start to hurt and tense but then I move because they hurt and the feeling goes away. And if I don't move still the feeling goes away, it feels like I get to a certain point and the feeling just goes away, I don't feel like it finishes or something. Also I found that when I am extremely turned on I get kinda numb in the vaginal area...is that normal? But the question is, have I had a full orgasm? and if not...how can I achieve one?

Well, your clitoris is at the top of your vulva, only slightly shielded by your clitoral "hood" - and all of that is located north of your labia, which are the lips astride your urethra, just below the clitoris, and the vaginal opening down lower. Usually, the labias major and minor, especially if somewhat larger than what might be considered "normal," are most prominent near the vaginal opening and quite a distance below the clitoris.
The word you used, "extremely," is subjective. But I think it would be rare that even a large labia flap would "get in the way" of penile penetration, much less cover the clitoral area which is usually far above. Unless it is the the "clitoral hood" you refer to as being extremely large. There are some good physiological sites online that diagram the vulva features that should help you determine whether your sexual anatomy is all that unusual. It is doubtful that you are so abnormal as to require anything so radical as surgical intervention.
