I don't know where this going and neither does she

Question - (12 March 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 12 March 2009)
A male United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I am trying to get back together with my ex. We were together for four years, engaged for two, and have been broken up for about two. We are talking again but I told her up front I wanted a relationship and nothing else. She SEEMS to be good with this but says she doesn't know what she really wants and she wants to take it VERY slow.

It has been about five months that we have been talking now and have gone on two dates (best word to describe it, she lives in Chicago and I live in Detroit, I went there once she came here once, each for a weekend at a time, with talk about more visits). Things have gone well when we see each other, kissing, and we talk at least every other day, if not more. I want to know where this is going and she keeps saying she doesn't know.

Should I stick it out and see if things develop or is she just trying to stay friends and is telling me she doesn't know because I will walk away if she says no?

Legioness agony auntWell, she did say that she wants to take it very slow. So maybe it'd be worth sticking it out? But it's up to you at the end of the day, if you want to try and persue a relationship with her then stick at it, if not, then bow out gracefully and stay good friends. Something could always develope from that further down the line anyway. All the best x becky x
