If you ask your bf if you are an item and he says " I don't know " then that means no, I'm sorry.
It concerns me that you have fallen out with your "friends". Friends are very important. Your first step must be to make up with your friends, or at least get some new ones.
A bf cannot make up for all of your friends, and no one really wants to go out with someone who expects them to be everything for them.
Having made up with your friends, have a heart to heart with your bf, and tell him that you love him, and ask him what he thinks. Don't settle for "I don't know" - ask him what his doubts are, and try to understand them. If he won't communicate with him, dump him.

reader, anonymous, writes (18 April 2006): You've probably heard the phrase "there are other fish in the sea" before. In this case, there are definately bigger, better fish out in the sea for you. If this guy does you the dishonor of leaving you in limbo for three weeks, well then you can pretty much bet that it's not meant to be. You should tell him you don't care if he wants to be with you or not because you're done waiting around, go hook back up with your old friends, and enjoy a sleep-over with just the girls or something. Believe me, any guy who just "doesn't know" for three weeks straight is not worth your time. Hope it works out okay for you!
