I don't know if he's straight or bi?

Well im new at this so bare with me...I am 22 years old and am bi. And i have this guy friend that is a year younger then me. To make a long story short we have known each other for about 5 years and are fairly close. My problem is, is that i dont know if he is really straight or bi. Im pretty sure that he's not gay as he has talked about being with girls before. And to my best knowledge he has had two threesomes involving 2 guys 1 girl. I really like him but im not really sure how to go about asking him or trying anything with him. I dont think he knows or realizes that I am bi because i never talk about it nor have i ever mentioned it infront of him. I think he could possibly be bi-curious because sometimes i will be laying on my bed and he will come lay next to me and watch tv together. I will make it a point to wrap him up in my arms and sometimes lay his head on my chest or i will wrap my arms around him as if to cuddle with him. He has never really expressed that he did or didnt like it. He would just lay there as if he liked being there with me. Im not really sure what to think or do. I told him the other day that one of my girl friends was wanting to try a threesome with me and another guy and he acted really excited as if he had no problem with it. Which i realize is another problem. Please help with any information.
