He started to text me in October, and when he did, he asked me a bunch of questions like what my favorite bands are, etc. and he said he wanted to hang out. Since then, weve texted every few days, but not as much as before. Is he just trying to get close to me, or does it look like hes starting to like me?Guy #2:We hardly talk in person, but he recently started to talk to me. Last night, he asked me if ive ever gone out with someone before.Is he hinting something? (it feels that way..) Or is he just asking a simple question?Thanks!

 As for guy #1 it's super hard to figure out what someone wants without talking to them in person and having that face to face conversation. Sorry for the science of it but a large amount of information that is understood in a conversation is through facial expression and tone of voice. You dont get that with text so I would be careful with that. As far as guy #2 all I have to say is that most guys are pretty simple so I would say if hes asking if you have ever dated anyone then he is probably interested in you. I would keep talking to this guy and see if there is some chemistry, you should feel it, it seems like you already have. Good luck.

reader, anonymous, writes (13 December 2009): i think they both like you, if someone texts you simply to talk and you've never hung out before, he sees something he likes in you. id be careful though, because he might just think your good looking and wants to get with you.
and with guy number 2, he might be interested, but i cannot be 100% sure. my advice, choose the one you would want to be with more, and flirt with him. if you don't want to be with either, talk about how some other guy is awesome and they'll get off your back. don't want to lead them on
