I went to bed mad. The next morning my dad was driving me to work and he said that I shouldn't take this relationship so seriously and I shouldn't be saying "I love you", so, being mad from yesterday, I told her maybe we shouldn't say that anymore and she started crying and said I never loved her, and it was a lie from the beginning; it was like this for about a day and i got her to forgive me, but I don't think she believes what i say anymore. And I do love her but, if I say it, i am afraid she will think its a lie again. I don't know how I can get her to believe what i say, and I do love her. I need help. Reply to this Question Share |

You need to work, and she needs to understand this. I don't see how a perfectly valid reason to stay away from her is beyond her understanding. I agree with your father: don't take the relationship too seriously. Love her with all of your heart, yet demand reasonableness.

Im sorry to hear about your argument with your girlfriend. I think you need to see her and just have a big heart to heart, take her flowers, make her smile and explain exactly what you've written up here. Life is too short to waste on arguing and sadness. Just talk it out and hopefully it will be resolved. Sorry this answer is a bit lame, but there's no point in playing games; just be honest and open.
