writes:Im hurt by his non-responsive attitude and would like opinions.Im a little confused about why this one guy wont text me back. We are friends, id say we're even close. We have had a history together and we constantly talk. However, he wont return my texts in the last few weeks even though we've been in constant contact with no fights or reasons to not talk. I send him nice lines or questions and get nothing back. I have a new phone so its not the phone nor his and his main way of communicating is texting, but I dont get it, why is he ignoring me?

reader, anonymous, writes (11 October 2008): This is a male ego thing. He loves the fact that you are texting him and he thinks by ignoring you it will make you come crawling on your knees.
Stop texting, stop talking and he'll stop ignoring you. Or, he won't, in which case you'll know it was over anyway and you've lost nothing.
