A female reader, anonymous, writes (23 December 2007):

Hi Sweetie,

I understand how you must be feeling as I wouldn't like to be without my boyfriend at Christmas. How long will he be away for?

If it's for the whole of Christmas then I think you should be included in the arrangements with his children, as I think it's unfair for you to have to forgo seeing him at all over the holidays.

As the previous poster said, spend time with family and friends while he's away and try to have fun and take your mind of missing him, although I think it's perfectly natural for you to miss him! I would if I were you!

Merry Christmas and hope you feel better soon! x

It sounds like you love him and it also sounds like you're a bit attatched too much. If you two every break up you are going to fall apart. Now, dont ddistant yourself and be totally independent, but please don rely on him all the time.

find hobbies you like and you can do by yourself

make friends with some girls and do fun stuff together

so that when he's off with his kids you get a fun girls night out!
