Well if you can't have it, wouldn't you rather your friend have it? I think you need to try and let go of your jealously and take pleasure that she's doing well. There's enough sadness and disapointment in life. Try to make it a habit to take joy from the good things that happen to your friends. There will be other plays - what if the roles were reversed? would you want her jealous of you? Try to let it go.

I think I know how you feel...
Look... Try and turn this into a positive thing. Help her practice her lines while auditioning, give her critique. Try and help her make it through! You'll feel a lot better about yourself, and show the people who decided to not give the further chance to get in that you are mature.
Trust me: There's more in consideration than just talent when you are auditioning for a play or musical of some sort.
You can tell her how you feel, but I would just reccomend writing it in a journal somewhere, and then channeling your energy into helping her out.
-God be with you,

Sorry to hear you didn't get put forward, if you really need to say something, then why don't you just tell her in a nice way, that you're gutted, but also tell her you're pleased for her.
If you tell her you're jealous ~ you'll be putting her on a guilt trip and she may feel hurt by it.
Surely you would prefer her to have knocked you out of the running ~ rather than by a girl you disliked.
Be happy for her, that's what true friends are for.
Big Sis xXx
