In all honesty, I did study hard day and night, i put great effort into my studying. Maybe my method was not efficient enough... so my results came out as a fail... i passed one paper but not very well. I have no idea how to tell my parents about this... And dont get me wrong I do study hard, I know I studied and all. Perhaps, it my method was not good enough... i tend to change my style of studying...honestly, after my exam papers i actually felt that it was alright, i would score just okay (I dont expect much from myself).. but it really flipped on me. I got really crappy scores. It made me cry in fact. But i was not the only one with these scores, in fact almost my whole year group had similar scores. I was planning to tell my parents that I did really badly and that i intend to retake the exams and do better in them. And I want to spare them the actual grades... How do I tell them? Do I just tell them what i intended to say? this is really hard for me and I really dont know what happened. Please help.

Just be honest with them, yes they might be disappointed, but tell them what you have said here. Try new methods and maybe talk to a teacher about a better way to study.

Just be honest, and then retake them. When you study for them the second time, don't use the previous method.
You might even want to talk to your counselors and see of you can find a tutor in the subjects.
They will be disappointed FOR you, but hopefully support you in your efforts to do better next time.
