writes:I have been dreaming of playing the guitar ever since i was 6. I didn't actually get a guitar until i was 14. I am now 16 and have started taking guitar lessons 2 months ago. During that time i have for some reason started to have a crush on him. I know you will think its weird. He is around 35 years old. I really want to contiue lessons with him because he is the only guitar teacher closest to me and my mom wont let me take guitar lessons anywhere else. I just want to learn to play the guitar but for some reason i have a crush on him. I day dream about him i dream about him i can't stop thinking about him..I am just scared what if oneday he drops something and we both go to pick it up and our faces get close and i might be temped to kiss him. Maybe another reason i like him is because he smells good. I know that seems alittle strange but something about the perfume maybe he is using i dont know.The worst part is, is that i have a boyfriend. I love my boyfriend to death but i dont know what to do. Are something wrong with my harmons or something? I don't wan't change teacher because i can't my mom wont let me! I just want to learn to play the guitar and my teacher is really good! Is there any possible way i can just stop thinking about my teacher 24/7? Maybe makeout with my boyfriend more or something?? Anything??? =(

 Sometimes we are attracted to people and we can't figure out why. One reason actually can be the way another person smells. Believe it or not our bodies give off undetectable scents that trigger attraction from the opposite sex. It is not unusual for you to crushing on him. For one thing, he is teaching you something, helping you. If you share a good working relationship and communicate well that may also be what is attracting you. Regardless of why you do need to get this under control as it could potentially interfere with your learning or your current relationship. Day dreaming about him all the time will only make it worse as you will building up a fake idea of this guy in your head~ an idea about how great he is etc...You don't really know him other than that he teaches you guitar. He could be the grossest guy ever who farts, has smelly feet and lives unclean-you don't know...so crushing on an idea of a person is somewhat delusional. If you need to, keep telling yourself he is could potential be disgusting in some way or another in order to fool yourself out of wanting to think about him. Then concentrate on how great your boyfriend is and how you would never want to lose that. Best of Luck!
