I cant move on should I ask for a second chance?

hello my names jeremy and i need some help i lost my best friend a couple months ago and im so lost he was more then a friend he was my bbf, my brother, my father my best in everything we lived togther and did everything togther for many many years we where inseperable and now i wake up and feel so alone like my life and love where ripped away from me and i have noone to turn to and confind in. what can i do to move on???? and my other big problem is theres this girl i dated for along time i loved her she was my everything she had and always will have my heart. ever since the day she left ive never once stoped loving her not a single second, ive thought about it for years saying something and now 2 and a half years later ive kept silent. but i feel that i still love her so very much is it worth prosuing her again and asking for a second chance, please help
