I can't always advice my bf on his problems. Am I not being a good gf?

A female Canada, anonymous writes:

I’m trying to be a supporting girlfriend. I’m pretty good when my friends come to me for advice. When it comes to my boyfriend, I always can’t advice him on anything. All I can do is hugging him very closely to me without saying a word. I feel I’m not doing what I should do as a good girlfriend. Is there anything I can learn to do better? Is this healthy for our relationship?

mistydawn agony auntokay, well i couldn't give my boyfriend advice and even if i tried he would give me the look like "right that would work *rolls eyes*. Well, he started talking to his girlfriend about his problems...I know what a dick right? Well i ended up telling him that i was sorry that i couldn't help him out but i wanted to and he looked at me and said "baby, as long as you care about me". So just tell your boyfriend that you suck at giving him advice and your sorry lol... but most of all be truthful in a relationship.
