writes: my good friend invited me to the beach with her this summer. and she sounded really excited about it but then she invited these 2 other girls. if those girls were my friends i wouldnt be anoyed with that fact but those 2 girls are lets say sluts who are with guys 24/7 unless they are with their other friends, im a prude yes 14 and a prude im a loser and im very awkward around guys. i want a boyfriend but guys never really seem to like me... also when my friend who invited me went to lunch with my other 2 friends they were talking about it and how if i go it will definatly be awkward and i dont want that to happen. and i still want to gowhat should i do about that? i bet the first thing they will want to do is go to the beach and find guys to hook up with later Reply to this Question Share |

reader, anonymous, writes (24 June 2009): Usually rumors about girls who are "sluts" are very exaggerated and based on a small truth. That may or may not be the case here, but in any case I think you should go, and have fun. Those other two girls may just be more outgoing than you, and if you hang out with them more you may get to like them. I'm a quiet person who tends to keep to myself I also have a difficult time with talking to guys, but I have a few close friends that are major extroverts and I actually meet a lot of guys through them! Or when we go out together I just say something like "he's cute!" and my totally not-shy friend goes up and says "hey come talk to us!" the the conversation starts and with her there its not so uncomfortable, I don't feel like I'm in the spotlight. You never know, befriending these girls could lead to lifetime friendship that can help you in areas where you are not your best. On the otherhand you could have a completely horrible time, but there is only one way to find out!
