 Im not sure why you feel a fool. I think its human nature to ask a partner if they find others attractive. Most, if being honest, will say they find atleast some other women or men attractive. Your partners reaction sounds over the top though. But given your past and being cheated on, maybe he felt it was a loaded question and a trap. Which could have made him feel uncomfortable. But even if he did find some other women attractive to look at, its perfectly normal and doesnt mean he will cheat on you.
