Nothing can go wrong really.

I think the only thing that could go wrong is a really hot guy see's the string!

But also, my mate gave me 5 tampons on Monday, and my period started again on thursday.

my periods quite heavy so i've got about 1 left. :(

Im too embarrased to ask my mum to buy me some, and I'm too embarrased to buy them myself

help please?

xx

Don't worry at all! As long as it's in properly, it'll be fine! I was worried when i first used a tampon whilst swimming, but it's honestly fine! I didn't even have to think about it at any point, completely forgotten =)

Have a good swim!!

Uhmm... what would go wrong? I dont mean to say that in a harsh way, but I just dont see what could happen. I wear tampons swimming all the time. The only advice I have is use ones with applicators because they go in furthur and dont get wet from the water. I have once or twice taken out one of the push in with your finger ones came out wet. But I still didnt bleed through or anything.

The only thing is dont swim anywhere that might have sharks when youre on your period just to be safe!!

They can smell blood from like a mile away or something!!

Hope this helps a bit!

A female reader, Tisha-1 United States +, writes (12 March 2008):

Tisha-1 agony auntAs long as you have the tampon properly inserted, you should have no problem. Just make sure the string is well nestled so it doesn't stick outside your bathing suit! If you want to be sure you could try it out in your bathtub with the bathing suit on.

Good luck!
