DrPsych agony auntIt is not that unusual to have problems with your cycles when you are using hormonal contraception. However, it is very important that you see your doctor. You should consider using non-hormonal methods (a discussion with a family planning nurse or GP would identify something suitable). You need a blood test to check your iron levels as prolonged bleeding may leave you at risk of anaemia. The key is not to panic - just see a GP as soon as you can to put an end to your suffering!
