I've been in a relationship with my fiance' for 5 years now. We have a 3 year old son together who has major health problems, he has already undergone 5 open heart surgeries. My fiance' and I are getting married in March 2010 but I'm really having doubts nearly everyday I just don't think our relationship is what it should be. I love him but I'm just not sure that is enough. I'm so scared because we stand to loose $20,000 if we cancil the wedding and also my son has already been through so much I just don't think it would be fair to hurt him in that way, he loves his daddy so much and excitedly waits for him to come home from work every night, how can I take that away from him? I just hate cring myself to sleep every night and acting like everything is good when I'm just not happy. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Maybe you can ask for a postponement to give you time to work on the issues you have? You have been through a tough time but if you enter into an unhappy marriage you will negatively affect your son even more... He can still see his dad even without a marriage, like he is doing now. Marriage (although a good thing), is seriously overrated sometimes. Its a big decision so wait and see how you feel in the summer.
