I can't understand why your girlfriends needs to display her tears so much over trivial things. Most people save moments when they need support for when they need them most, like when they or someone they love is in serious trouble. If you are not having a joke, I think you are being pulled into some childish games yourself. It is attention seeking. I would tell her that story and about crying wolf, how can she expect you to take her seriously when/if there comes a time that she really is in trouble?

all girls find a way to cry over a movie just ask her why she is crying and say i aint seen that film and get an invitation to watch it with her when you watch it and she cries then you can atleast hold her which should be enough! if not then just tell her everything is alright and just say you wish you could be there to hold her while shes upset
