writes: I have had difficult forming a stable relationship with a girl, though i have met quite a few wonderful women in my life. My problem is, i can't feel secure about a relationship with her as long as i am not in complete control of her, like what she does, how she talks with others, what kind of people she has for her friends, to the extent that how much mouth she could open when she smiles. Basically, i fear that other people are constantly judging and analyzing when we are together and are on a lookout for a hint of imperfection here and there to find some flaws and get a matter to talk about us (as a gossip material). In short i can't give her any space and i feel that even some girls desire their guy to take control of her. Is this true? Any advice would be helpful. Reply to this Question

 Nowhere on God's green Earth is there a girl who wants to be totally controled by their guy. And the way you are controlling your gf is almost like abuse!! Controlling how she even smiles is just plain rediculous!! You might as well put strings on her like a puppet!! People need freedom to express themselves, life life, and be able to move around in their space!! FREEDOM!!!!!
And the thought of what other people think, so what. They are looking at her and seeing that she looks unhappy! Did you know that by having a open mouth smiles shows that she is very happy in the relationship with you?
If you want this girl in your life, you better get help on this control issue. Take control of your own life and let her control hers. Otherwise you will have problems the rest of your life, and lose someone you really love. There is no woman alive who likes being controled!!

reader, anonymous, writes (2 May 2007): You have got to give this silly idea of yours up!!! a girl may well like you to take control in the bedroom but I don't know a single female who would be happy with anyone taking control of their lives the way you want to. You have got to get over yourself and the controlling issues that you have. You will never ever find a girl who is happy with you to control them completely, and until you change your ways I am sure you will stay single.
