He has a problem, and not one you should ignore. Seek help. Like the others have said, this is indicitive of an addiction. I hope that you can find a solution that helps your marriage.

Yes, that is what's going on. It sounds like he's developed an addiction to pornography. He needs to go seek help from a counselor, because this truly is an addiction and requires outside help. Google pornography addiction and there are many groups out there for both you and your partner that can help.

reader, anonymous, writes (18 October 2010): Your husband is use to a certain kind of stimulus and that is not good. If he doesnt watch porn, he is not aroused. This is truly sad. He should quit this cold turkey (i e stop instantly) cause his mind is depending on it and he's probably addicted. This is a neurological issue and has nothing to do with him not being attracted to you. However, he needs to quit so that he gets used to the real thing and his mind shifts focus to reality and not fantasy. That cant happen overnite but there is plenty of research on porn addiction on the web where there's good places to start with recovery. Best wishes on this.
