writes: HPV from oral sex, can someone please explain this to me? So you get the HPV in your throat by oral sex with someone who has slept with an infected person? How do you get tested? I have had quite a bit of unprotected oral sex as I'm guessing a lot of other people have. I believe most of my partners had used condoms or had only slept with virgins.

HPV can spread even with condom use unfortunately. The good news is that he vast majority of HPV does not cause cancer.
The best thing for you to do is go talk to a doctor about getting tested orally. If it comes back positive you should be mindful of getting regular checks for cancer in your throat and mouth. If it's negative, talk to your doctor about getting Gardasil, which can help protect you in the future.
