reader, anonymous, writes (7 May 2008): Durex are generally good - they do all different ones too. Ribbed/dotted ones (for extra pleasure for the girls), ones with extra lube (which I'd recommend as it makes it a lot easier, especially if you are a virgin), thicker ones, and just the regular ones.

I think sex at your age can bring many inconveniences to you, but I know there's no stopping a young guy who wants sex, so I will make a few comments. Better a young guy buying his condoms than a young guy and a young girl having a baby, or a disease.
Only you can tell which one you prefer. There's no universal preferences. That's why they make them different. I will tell you which one NOT to try. Don't use lambskin ones, or the ones with little holes in them. They are good for contraception but not for the prevention of STDs.
Use good quality ones. The small amount of money you would save is nothing compared to the risk you would run.
Don't let them get too old. If your wallet has marks where you keep it, discard that old one and get a new pack.
