A reader, anonymous, writes (25 February 2009):

just be open... and honest

and say the first thing that comes to your mind - unless its inappropiate or insulting

ask her heaps of questions about herself- like open opinion ones she should like that

anything you have in common- grasp that and tell her stories about you and keep them honest and fresh and open

A male reader, Rblivingstone United States +, writes (24 February 2009):

It is very easy to talk to girls. They are human beings afterall. Just talk about her, ask her about what she does, or what she wants to accomplish in life, her goals, her values, you may find out that she is a gerbil breeder, that wants to create the first super gerbil that never gets sick. Then you will have plenty to talk about. Don't probe just try to find out what makes her tick and you will have plenty to talk about for the rest of the night. Or if you get desperate admit that you don't know how to small talk, and talk about how you desperately posted this question. You will have plenty to talk about again.
