writes: Hi Im just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get over a partner where you have children together and so have to see them at handover times and have to listen to news and stories about him and be enthusiatic to the children. My ex has gone back to a childhood sweetheart of his and it is chewing me up inside with anger and frustration and bitterness. Its affecting my whole life. To make it worse whenever i get so angry that I text him he is just cold and complacent or ignores me.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 May 2008): I wondered the same thing and I am still getting over the heartache of my partner leaving me for someone else although we were childhood sweethearts. There are many ways to do this but it is a very slow process. How old are the children? and how long since the split?
