writes:I'm at uni at the moment and there's this girl doing the same course as me that I really like. But I'm quite shy and I don't know how to go about letting her know I like her. The only things I know about her are her name and that she lives on campus. I'd just like some advice please :)

Don't ask her out right now. Maybe try to get to know her right now, but if you sense her getting annoyed with you then retreat. There is a guy like this in one of my classes~he has 5 other people sitting around him and I'm the one he talks to, even though we've never met before this class. Then he used the phrase: "I love the way you..."; that just creeps me out! Point is, if you ask her out now, and she says no, then things will be akward.
