writes: Ok quick question, me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex last weekend. Yes I no a big big mistake but nothing I can do about it now. Anyway, now of course I am freaked I may be pregnant! So what I want to know is how soon can I take a home pregnancy test? My period is due today but normally when I stress it is late and therfore more than likely it is going to be late this month after this. So this is way I dont want to wait until it comes but rather no for certain as soon as I can. Thanks

Thanks satin, so there can be false positives too... just rarely. Now I know :) I dont get offended when I'm corrected, I'm thankful that now I know and if someone asks I will be giving more accurate info. Thanks again!

i forgot to tell you do not drink a ton of water to make you pee. it dilutes your urine and can bring a false result. pee on the stick when you got to go. :)

you can take it tomorrow or now. if your stressing yes it can be late your right. but if your worridled, take it now. the hormones in your urine will show if your prgnant or not. however if i were you i would take it after your period is suppose to come. whenever u want to take it you can.

Some pregnancy tests claim u can take them 5 days before your missed period, so if you were supposed to start today you should be ok taking 1 today. Buy 2 or 3 to set your mind at ease. Remember there can be "false negatives" but not "false positives" Oh and another thing, if your not pregnant and dont want to get pregnant go to your local clinic and get on birth control so you wont worry as much, their are a lot of options! Also if the unprotected sex happens again there is a "morning after pill" that is available and if ur in the US then almost all states (Except like 2 or 3) have the morning after pill available over the counter, no prescription required as long as your 18 or older.
