I met my boyfriend in a common interest chat group (not a dating site). We chatted in the chat group, then private messaged, then messaged via phone, finally talked on phone for about 4 months before deciding to be an official couple beginning of January 2014. He has visited me twice and I've visited him once since then. The duration of each visit was between 4-10 days, with some visits shorter and some visits longer. He has always been eager to introduce his friends and family to me. I've spoken to them briefly on the phone as well as have briefly hung out with several of them during my recent visit. He has also briefly said hi to my friends and family but has yet to meet them. During his visits I've been more focused on spending time together and to be honest, wasn't sure if it was time to meet friends and family yet. I do tend to be more conservative and take things much slower than him in all aspects of our relationship. Is it OK to take things slow as I am doing or should I have already brought him to meet friends and family? Many of my closer friends do know that him and I are together and I told my mom how much I love him and how happy I am to be with him. So they all know, just haven't met yet. Thanks in advance for all your advice! Reply to this Question Share |

Hi MSA,
I would keep family away for a good few months if not longer, but friends can be introduced within the first 4-5 weeks.
