How should I handle this situation?

We have demonstrated our interest in each other. A jealous girl came along and distracted him briefly. I played it cool and stayed out of the picture. Seems he's back to being interested in me again, so I'm showing my interest in him. I wonder - should I wait for him to bring up the subject of sex together, or is he waiting for me to say something? What is the right way of handling this?
