My friend A also likes J but isn't allowed to talk to him because his of girlfriend, L. Last year J said he liked A, but I don't know about now. I think J likes me because he usually sits close enough to where we touch, and doesn't move, asks me to help with projects, and compliments me. How realistic are my chances with him?

I think you should leave things with him be until his girlfriend has left for europe and when he is ready for another relationship . people get anry and say mean things about the people closest to them and i think you should find out for sure if your friend likes him or not still . if she does then i would advise for you to decline from becoming more then friends because thi will cause a lot of tension and drama . if she doesnt like him make sure you get her blessing and know that she is fine with you and him being together x x x
