His parents were physically abusive at worst, uncaring at best and both abused drugs and alcohol -- his father was particularly brutal. Tough life, to say the least. He's currently doing a Medical Residency for General Surgery at the moment, and is extremely competitive -- top of the pack as a result. So, it struck me as rather odd that my assertive, competitive boyfriend seems to lose his mind when I take control in the bedroom. The other night, I was on top of him and I put my hands around his skyward wrists, which were above his head. He didn't say for me to do it, but his body language screamed it. It was like...he was offering himself to me.I started to kiss his neck and I actually saw his eyes roll back in his head; there were a few seconds "after" (orgasm) when I saw a dazed look in his eyes as he glanced around, like he didn't know where he was -- that euphoric. The more I think about it, I can't help the feeling that this is a part of his sexuality he keeps suppressed. I weigh about half as much as him so I don't know if "in control" is the right term, but I think it was the more about the symbolism. My best friend said it may be because he likes the feeling of being wanted, which makes sense especially considering his childhood. Frankly, I don't know.I thought it was kind of hot, it was just...different considering that he's always so assertive in bed (aka great sex life). Is this odd?

I mean I acted to hold him down...obviously he's a lot bigger/strong, but I just mean the idea of that tripped a switch in him.

It's not odd and you're worrying about nothing.
