writes:Do they care a lot about how you look? I know they matter at least some, but what if you have a lot of acne? Would not looking super-pretty or having acne (even if you were otherwise pretty) prevent guys from approaching you or asking you out?

 looks do matter but they aren't the only things that matter in a relationship.the most important things that i as a guy would look for in a girl would be a great personality,a humorous nature,a good heart and well of course good looks but the other things are more important.my advice to you would be to just take good care of yourself,stay healthy and well go visit a doctor about that acne problem if u already have no worries just follow the earlier advice and well wait for someone who will really love you cos trust me you do not want just relationships which will be made and then break again.you may feel lonely but trust me you're not the only one.if you don't find someone now that just means that you've got someone a million times better waiting for you at the end and well stay truly cheerful okay,that will boost your personality and attractiveness by lets see....45% i guess. anyway best of luck,take care and don't worry it'll all work out.

I, personnaly do not think looks matter that much. I think that many guys are VERY shallow, but there is always exceptions.
Don;t worry you'll get a boyfriend and your acne will clear.

And if that was you who posted a reply saying that you dont have a bf and need one then just know that you are not the only one who does though in my case I need a gf.

I asked my best guy friend whether he'd want to date an amazing "hot" girl with little personality, or a more "Average" girl with an amazing personality and he said the "average" girl every time. Be confident in who you are, wait for the person who loves you for everything you are. You wouldn't want to be with anyone who doesn't accept you.

I have severe acne and I go to a dermatologist. I know how to take care of my face and eat properly, thanks, it's just that my hormones are going nuts. I know it's not genetics because neither of my parents or any of their siblings had bad acne. I just worry I'll never have a boyfriend. I mean, I don't NEED one. I'm not that insecure. But I am interested in guys and I think dating would be nice. I've never had a boyfriend, and I'm almost 16 for Pete's sake!

 well some do care a lot, some don't. I know my ex wouldn't care, he wasn't shallow. Try to take care of your acne, don't touch your face with dirty hands, eat healthy, use facial products, and you will see your face will be better in a few weeks. Don't play with the pimples or burst them.

 Looks dont matter to all guys. If the guy really likes you he would like you for the good and the bad. But, if you do have lots and lots of acne I recommend putting a dab of makeup on and asking a doctor for a prescription to get rid of them.
