Like others say - If you feel that you have to keep score then I wonder why you're having sex.
For my wife and I, our typical sequence uses 3 positions for the actual intercourse. We mix things up a little, especially if it's bedtime or mid-day sex rather than morning lovemaking. In the course of a month might use half a dozen positions. When we were your age we were a little more experimental and there were certainly months when we used 10 different positions at some point, or perhaps even a dozen.

 Eh, this varies a lot. In the last month it's just been me and the shower and one time I used my vibrator. But when my boyfriend is around we use about 4-6 positions in one round. I don't really keep track of it. It's a passion of the moment thing, some times we just stick to missionary or some other classic position (hey, they work wonders after all), and then other times if we're not near a bed we get more creative. When doing it up agains a wall you need to just use whatever works, haha.
There's no norm here, this varies a lot between each couple, and depends on so many factors, time, availability, physical possibilities, time of the day, phase of the relationship, location, etc.
As long as you and him feel your sex life is great then that's all that matters, not what other people do in bed.

reader, anonymous, writes (2 November 2012): Well 7 years in we have about 5 that we love to do most often but it depends on what kind of sex we are in the mood for. Early on the relationship we switched positions a lot during a session, went through a few sex books ticking off all the positions we tried but nowadays we've refined that down to 5 that give the best results. When she's in the mood to dominate and be in control she gets on top, that's one. When we're feeling very loving and romantic we stick to missionary, face to face, that's two. For a quickie somewhere public or just in the kitchen we'll do doggy because it's convenient, that's three. When we want to go rough and hard her ankles go on my shoulders so I can go deep, that's four. And sometimes in the mornings while we're spooning, I'll put it in and have a nice start to the day.
We mix it up from time to time though and do different positions for the hell of it. But those 5 we do most often because we know exactly the kind of depth, angle and motion needed to get the most pleasure. Positions are a fun novelty but we're more about efficiency now, early on it was fun to try new ones but that gets taken over by the ability to have great sex with very little effort. We find roleplay a hell of a lot more fun these anyway. We dressed as American hill billies for halloween played those roles all night at a party too, sex in those costumes was hilarious. Lots of yee-haws, and being called big brother in southern American accent. It was very stop start and not the greatest sex ever from all the laughing we did but it was a hell of a lot of fun.
