I need to know as my last on broke that was expensive and I need a new one, but my parents say that they won't pay out lots of money again. thanksxxx

Two or three hours a day is a bit excessive. You only need 20 minutes of cardio, but most keeners do 45-60. The most important part of a good work-out is weight-bearing excercise. Having all your muscles working is what burns calories. Are you doing this because of weight? That's a lot of running or walking. (I have a gym in my home and my husband has been to courses all over the world). Or perhaps are you training for a marathon?
A lot of people by this equipment and use it to hang their clothes on. In the U.S., there's a big chain called the 2nd Wind that resells good equipment, perhaps there is a similar store in the U.K.. There is probably something reasonable in the resale market for you. I don't think the cheap one will last. You could try a gym too, the membership might be cheaper than purchasing a new one, and then you wouldn't be responsible for the upkeep. Hope this helped.
P.S. - The best all over work-out is Power-Plate - but you need to be trained on it to get the best work-out. It's faster and more effective than lifting weights and machines. You can do a full-body workout in twenty minutes. I know they are really popular in Europe, perhaps some gyms in Britain have them.
