How long should I wait to start looking for someone after a break up? I really don't want to be single and my ex does. Should I still wait a bit? Or is it okay to start looking?

So_Very_Confused agony auntwhen you are ready you are ready. so if you feel ready then start looking...

what I've always found is that when you are NOT looking is when the best ones fall in your lap however

therefore go out live a nice life and it will happen.

Sageoldguy1465 agony auntIt depends on how YOU feel about it...

Myself? I usually wait until she is outside the door before I go on-line or pick up the phone to find my next girl....

Good luck...

k_c100 agony auntWell it all depends on how long you were together and how long it has been since you split up, and you havent mentioned this, so it is hard to say.

But as long as you feel 100% over your ex, and you are not looking for a new boyfriend purely because you dont want to be alone, then you should be ok to start looking.

But if you are scared of being single and are only wanting a new boyfriend to replace the ex because you miss him, then this is wrong and you would be getting with the new person for the wrong reasons.

I hope this helps and good luck!

If you feel like you're ready to move on than by all means go for it. Just because your ex is not ready to move on doesn't mean you should wait around until he is.
