We went out last night following my return from my holiday and the date went well again. However towards the end of the date we begun a discussion which led to her saying that she really liked me etc... however there is not the fireworks she expects and she is unsure as to whether or not we have a future together. She has asked for time to think, which I am giving her. On my part I agree there is not a massive amount of fireworks either but I really like this girl. To tell you the truth those relationships I have had in the past which had firewords at the start failed after 3 months when the fireworks were extinguished. How long should I wait? Can a relationship work without the fireworks at the start?

She tried to call me last night but I was out on some leaving drinks and then she sent me a text saying she will call me today and that I am a "class act" and she loved the flowers.
Was the flowers and note a bad move?

Well by wanting fireworks at the start - that automatically implies that those fireworks will stop after a while... and then what?
Why not have a steady start and intermittant fireworks all the way through? It's more a question of whether you want fireworks and can bring them when pressed.
Good Luck!! xx
