Turns out hes been asking around about how iv been to our friends but wont talk to me directly. Last time he did he asked who I liked and I had told him nobody, that I was just focusing on being happy on my own before having to worry about being in a relationship again. In response he told me he too liked being single better as well when to "dating in general". On top of having to get over the break up, I had to deal with the stress of classes. He seemed to read this somehow and had also been telling our friends he was worried about me...but he wasnt talking to me. Anyway, I thought I was almost completely healed, until recently iv been having flash backs of our relationship and been feeling sad. How can I completely get over him and how long does it usually take for one to completely heal from a break up? (this was my first real relationship).

There is no carved in stone answer to your question. Just look at the old guy, however I doubt that this will take you decades to get over. If you can try to get some distance from the ex, stay busy, join some school activities, sports, anything you find interesting, just stay occupied. Time is you best friend on this one.
