reader, anonymous, writes (2 August 2010): Your period's not that late, but you should wait at least two or three weeks to take a pregnancy test and have it be fairly accurate. Don't panic; stress can make your period late, too, and hormonal changes can also alter your cycle.
Use protection when you have sex, then you won't have to worry so much about being pregnant, and you won't have to ask for advice about pregnancy tests. Condoms don't require a doctor's visit or health insurance, and you can get them almost anywhere.
